La Concha moutain

The views from the outer wall of the harbour are superb. You will see the Playa de la Fontanilla (Fontanilla Beach), the lighthouse and the dramatic back drop to Marbella provided by the La Concha moutain. Look out for the ginger cats.

Cruise along the Golden Mile coastline and see if you can spot the millionaires homes. You may even see our apartments amongst the greenery close to the beach.

Puerto Banus approachYou will arrive at the focal point of Puerto Banus - the marina. It has berths for 915 boats, including those of the King of Saudi Arabia and several of the world's wealthiest individuals. The boat weaves its way past these stunning yatchs. When I asked one of the deckhands when the boat would be sailing, he replied, "We don't have a schedule". They just come and go as they please.

Puerto Banus MarinaPuerto banus is a great place for people and super-car watching with a backdrop of super-yatchs. Sit in one of the bars on the harbourside and just watch those beautiful people, not to mention the Rolls Royces, Bentleys, Ferraris, Aston Martins and Porsches go by. Behind the harbour lie streets filled with bars, boutiques and nightclubs.

Getting There from our apartment

From the bus stop outside our apartment (other side of road), catch any bus to town centre - 5 minutes - ask for Puerto Deportivo or just walk downhill towards the sea. Or catch the L1 bus (this side of road) to Puerto Banus. Get off in Puerto Banus when you see the sea and walk to the harbour area.

To return to our apartment from Puerto Banus, catch the L1 bus from the bus stop inside the garage on the west side of the Hipercor shopping centre located inside El Corte Ingles. Get off outside our apartment at the 'La Carolina' stop. Ask driver for help if you don't know where the stop is, or you may end up back in Marbella town centre.

Have a nice Day
