After the summer heat, enjoy the cooler (high 20's) relaxing days of autumn in Marbella. Marbella doesn't really have an autumn as the sun continues to shine well into October. Now is the time to enjoy the delights of off-season Marbella. Travel to nearby white villages in comfort and without crowds. Enjoy the city's museums and art galleries. Stroll around beautiful Marbella and partake of some Andalucian gourmet delights.
The arts scene in Marbella is now very well developed, having some top art galleries and art museums. These include the popular Municipal Exposition Gallery (Galeria Municipal de Exposiciones) and the Casa Grande gallery, both of which attract a range of changing exhibitions by artists from all over the world.
Amble around the white villages of Andalucia. There are many to see and each is unique. The white village of Casares has Moorish cliff-hugging buildings and since 1978 it has been officially protected because of it's historical and artistic heritage. What about the 'blue village' of Juzcar (there's always one that has to be different). Painted Smurf blue, it is not to be missed. Kids love it too! And then there's Mijas. It is 428 meters above sea level and commands great views of the coastal area around Fuengirola.
